It’s a tradition that’s fun for kids and adults alike: carols by candlelight. We get out the old green paper hymnal books and gather in the warm and dimly-lit sanctuary, watching the candles flicker, and sing about the coming of Christ, who is called Emmanuel: “God with us.”
After singing, it’s time for pie and desserts and hot apple cider.
We’re grateful for God sending a Rescuer to make a way for us. We’re grateful for church family to celebrate with.
Our candlelight gathering is not a performance, it’s just the church family and friends gathering together to celebrate. God has been so good to all of us. We don’t deserve His blessings, and yet He gives them.
