We believe that the scriptures in their original form are the inspired, infallible Word of God.
We believe in one God, eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that man, who originally was created in the image of God, has fallen and must be redeemed by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe Jesus Christ is the divine and incarnate Son of God who was crucified and resurrected from the dead to be Lord of the universe and Head of His church.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, His gifts and fruit.
We believe in the priesthood of believers and the church as the body of Christ.
We believe in the bodily return of Christ, the resurrection of believers to eternal life, and the resurrection of unbelievers to eternal judgment.
Full Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the plenary (fully), verbally inspired, infallible, inerrant-in-the-original-manuscripts Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that man is a three part being: spirit, soul, and body.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe Jesus Christ is Savior, Sovereign Lord, Baptizer in the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Soon-coming King. We believe in the five-fold ministry of Christ—apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration (to be born anew) by His power is absolutely essential. We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer in Christ and gives His power to live a victorious life by revealing, teaching, guiding, assuring, sealing, comforting, encouraging, correcting, and praying for believers.
We believe God the Holy Spirit speaks to both believers and unbelievers today. We believe the fruit of the Spirit is essential for each believer and the church today. We believe the gifts of the Spirit (including tongues and prophecy) are God’s gifts to edify and empower the church in the current world and need to be regularly exercised.
We believe the doctrines of Hebrews 6:1-2 are foundational for the Christian life: the teaching of Christ, repentance from dead works, faith toward God, doctrine of baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
Regarding baptisms, we believe a person is baptized into Christ and His body at justification. In obedience to Christ, a believer submits to baptism in water by immersion as evidence of conversion. Christ’s desire is to baptize (fill) the believer with the Holy Spirit, with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, for power to evangelize and live a God-pleasing life.
Regarding health and healing, we believe all healing is from God whether by prayer, natural means, medical doctors, or alternative medicine. We believe that Jesus Christ is Healer; that healing stems from the cross; that Christ has given a healing ministry to His church; that each person needs to take personal responsibility for his health; and that each person should seek God first for his healing. We also believe that personal life-style changes may be necessary to prevent sickness and restore health.
Regarding judgment, we believe there are numerous temporal and eternal judgments in the Bible. The three primary eternal judgments are 1) Judgment for Sin at the cross where Christ endured the total punishment for all sin for all who believe. 2) The Judgment Seat of Christ, at which believers’ works will be tested by fire. Those whose works remain will receive rewards; those whose works are burned up will suffer loss of rewards. 3) The Great White Throne Judgment at which those who have chosen to reject Christ and His offer of eternal salvation will be sentenced to eternal torment.
We believe in the preservation of the saints, that is, the power of God to keep the souls of those who believe secure to the end.
We believe in the holy Christian church, the body of Christ, and that each born again believer needs to join himself to a local expression (local church) of the universal body of Christ. We believe all born again believers are called out, to come together, to hear God, and do what He says.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and promote fellowship with all who believe in Him regardless of race or national origin.
