The church gathered around Sequoia Grace Jones and together prayed to dedicate her to God.
Baby dedications are a chance for the parents to say, “We recognize this child is a gift from you and we give them back to you.” Typically this involves handing the baby to one another member of the church in a symbolic gesture.
The church prays for the child and the family, and embraces their own role in helping to raise this child to follow Christ!
